Father's Day 2008

Father's Day 2008 started with Ken aka: Grandpa, blowing up a pool for Tristan. We had a beautiful morning so we sat outside and had breakfast and opened gifts.

Tristan giving Grandpa his card that he signed all by himself. HA!!
Golf balls are always the way to go.
Brooke gave Ken one of the biggest singing cards I have seen for Father's day. When you opened it, it Sings "CELEBRATE".
Taylor and Cameron gave him a much smaller singing card that when opened it belts out "Can't touch that". We also had a picture taken to Walmart and had a tie made for Ken with their pictures on them.. It was very cool.

Cameron flexing his muscles.. I am not sure why we can't just take a normal picture once in awhile..
Looking at his tie..
Serving Dad breakfast with a smile..

Tristan was having a lot of fun playing in the dirt. After looking at the following pictures it looks like we changed the day from Father's day to Tristan's day.
He worked hard filling it up.
Brooke and Cameron resting a poolside.
Jerry, Ken and Brent enjoying their Father's dinner. No Ken is not going to sit in the booster seat.
Yes we are hoping the pool will grow.. I WISH..

Cameron, Taylor and Tristan.
Cameron taking a run for the pool.
Up he goes...
And splash....

Ryan and Jill looking at each other with loving eyes..
Tristan enjoying a ice cream sandwich.
For some reason Tristan calls everything that is sweet 'Corm", even though he knows what it really is. He called this ice cream "chocolate corm".
Of coarse after eating he had a very messy mouth and hands. He was trying to get Uncle Ryan.
Aunt Jill took a very messy kiss..

Aunt Taylor and Tristan having a stare down.
Brooke ask Ryan to put sun screen on Tristan ears and when we turned around this is how the poor kid turned out. We all got a good laugh.
After a very nice day of good food, visiting with family and the best just relaxing in the backyard it was a great day.

Neil's wedding

My youngest brother Neil was married June 14th, 2008 to Alice in a beautiful ceremony. Alice has a home on the lake so they used the backyard and with friends and family we were able to enjoy a beautiful sunny day with lots of joy and fun. I have posted a few of the hundreds of pictures that Ken took. We just purchased a new digital camera (one of his dreams) so he was out being photographer extraordinaire.

Putting the flower on President Baker's lapel. He was the one ask by the couple to marry them. The best man Lee helping the groom get it put together just right. Looking on is the groom's mom and step-son Blake.
The groom and his mother making their way down the aisle. Danielle and Blake. Do they look like they are ready to be brother and sister?
The bride and her Son.
The ceremony began with a few jitters on Alice's part, but Neil look as calm as they come. He has been looking for Alice for many years and was ready to start his life with her.
One of many kisses to come.

The new Bride and Groom.
Neil and Alice Brooks.
See more kissing...

The wedding party....

The rings..
A few pictures of their friends and family that came to celebrate with them.

The Toast to the happy couple. The Best man and Maid of Honor gave a beautiful toast to the Bride and Groom.
My Beautiful daughter Brooke with her little one Tristan and soon to be new arrival.. Only 4 weeks to go.....
The cutting of the cake.
The sharing of the cake. They did very well and we had no smashing of the cake in each others face well at least very little..

Neil's new family and many of his old...
The first dance..
Danielle and her boyfriend T.J.
I think Neil had to threaten mom that she was going to go out and dance with him.
Ryan and Jill. (Nephew and his bride)
The first dance with the new Bride and her son--Blake.
Now I posted a couple of the throwing of the bouquet because as you will see it got kind of crazy. Look at the girl on the right (white dress)
As she was jumping for the flowers the girl behind her gave her a big push and off she went.
As you can see she ended up on the ground and the flowers ended up where she used to be..
Next it was the guys turn, but first Neil had to take off the garter belt first..
Neil and Alice with President Baker.
The Brooks bothers and sister. Jerry, Brent, Lisa, Scott and Neil.
We were all very happy for Neil.

Of coarse we are still kids and had to take a silly picture.
After the food the dancing started and everyone had a lot of fun. If you didn't get up and dance you enjoyed watching those who did.
The Ken Ballard family. Cameron (who always looks like we are trying to kill him) Taylor, Ken, Lisa, Tristan, Jill, Ryan and Brooke.
Taylor, Heather, Aaron and Cameron sitting on the dock.
Kolene, Mom and Scott enjoying some shade and watching the dancing. Scott got a hold of some bubbles and was feeling his childhood.

Daddy and daughter enjoying a dance.
Even Aunt Reta got out there and showed us what she could do.
Brent and Pat. Hey brother I didn't know your hips could move like that anymore.. HA HA

Tristan and Cameron enjoying a little quiet time by the lake.
We couldn't of ask for a better day to celebrate with Neil the start of his new life. We wish him and his new Bride the very best and a life time of happiness. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY ALICE AND BLAKE.
WE LOVE YOU BROTHER...
