Happy 16th Birthday Taylor

Happy 16th Birthday Taylor. The time goes by so fast and before you know it they are getting ready to drive and yes date. I still remember when we had the ultrasound and we found out we were going to have a girl. Everyone was excited except Ryan. He so wanted a baby brother to play with that when the Dr. Bradford gave us the news Ryan walked out of the room. The doctor looked at us and ask " was it something I said?". We all got a good chuckle because we knew as soon as he say you he would fall in love and he did. Brooke and Ryan loved having a little baby in the house again and you have given us joy everyday since. We Love you and are so Proud of you.

A friend ask her what she wanted for her birthday and of coarse she said a car. Well he couldn't quite get her that so he sent her the pink roses and matchbox car.

Amy loves to attack Cameron whenever she is around. Cameron usually screams and tries to get away.

Backyard Smores

We just bought this fire pit and had to try it out. We had fun just sitting in out back yard roasting marshmellows and eating smores. I think they are pretty gross, but the kids like them. I love the smell of camp fire and we didn't have to go very far.
The best marshmellow is one that is on fire.. LOL

Yes it was still warm enough for shorts.

Ken and Taylor enjoying the moment.

I am a GOUGAR !!

Since I have gone back to school I am now an offical WSU cougar. We were able to go to a game at QWEST field (Seahawks) in Seattle and watch the Cougars play against the Cowboys of Oklahoma. We came out on the short end, but we had great weather and fun being with family. Everyone except Brooke was able to be with us. We had her two cute little boys so that kept us busy.

New Grandbaby

On July 5th at 8:50 pm Brooke gave us another beautiful grandson. She went into the hospital around 7am for an induction, so it was a long day for her. She was a trooper and did wonderful. We are so proud of her..
First pictures of ???. Yes they haven't agreed on a name yet. They are looking at Micah, but in the meantime we have called him G2 (grandson two), noname, and Micah. So this poor kid is going to be confused. He weighed 9# 110z and 20.75 inches long.. Short and stout..

Older Brother Tristan and Daddy looking on. Tristan was pretty amazed he left the room and when I brought him back in there was a baby. He kept looking at Brooke then back at the baby.
All 9# 11oz of Baby Boy Olson.
Because he was such a big baby his blood sugar was a little lower than they would like so his first feeding was sugar water and big brother got to help.
Grandma, Aunt Taylor and Uncle Cameron checking out our newest member.

Proud Grandpa
Taylor was able to stay in the room and be there when her nephew was born. She did okay until it was all over and then got a little dizzy. She just needed to step outside for a minute and then it was back in. She was very happy that her sister let her stay in and witness such a beautiful miracle. Cameron on the other hand boogied out the door. He and Tristan kept each other company.
Uncle Cameron

I just had to take a picture of his cute little foot.
He had to wear a little sling on his arm for the first few days, because it was bruised and he wasn't using it.
A kiss from big brother.

Uncle Ryan and Tristan
He was also jaundiced so after he came off his blanket we had to do a little sunbathing.
GOT MILK????

Father's Day 2008

Father's Day 2008 started with Ken aka: Grandpa, blowing up a pool for Tristan. We had a beautiful morning so we sat outside and had breakfast and opened gifts.

Tristan giving Grandpa his card that he signed all by himself. HA!!
Golf balls are always the way to go.
Brooke gave Ken one of the biggest singing cards I have seen for Father's day. When you opened it, it Sings "CELEBRATE".
Taylor and Cameron gave him a much smaller singing card that when opened it belts out "Can't touch that". We also had a picture taken to Walmart and had a tie made for Ken with their pictures on them.. It was very cool.

Cameron flexing his muscles.. I am not sure why we can't just take a normal picture once in awhile..
Looking at his tie..
Serving Dad breakfast with a smile..

Tristan was having a lot of fun playing in the dirt. After looking at the following pictures it looks like we changed the day from Father's day to Tristan's day.
He worked hard filling it up.
Brooke and Cameron resting a poolside.
Jerry, Ken and Brent enjoying their Father's dinner. No Ken is not going to sit in the booster seat.
Yes we are hoping the pool will grow.. I WISH..

Cameron, Taylor and Tristan.
Cameron taking a run for the pool.
Up he goes...
And splash....

Ryan and Jill looking at each other with loving eyes..
Tristan enjoying a ice cream sandwich.
For some reason Tristan calls everything that is sweet 'Corm", even though he knows what it really is. He called this ice cream "chocolate corm".
Of coarse after eating he had a very messy mouth and hands. He was trying to get Uncle Ryan.
Aunt Jill took a very messy kiss..

Aunt Taylor and Tristan having a stare down.
Brooke ask Ryan to put sun screen on Tristan ears and when we turned around this is how the poor kid turned out. We all got a good laugh.
After a very nice day of good food, visiting with family and the best just relaxing in the backyard it was a great day.
